That's if they haven't already replaced it (I suspect they will have...) ;)

With that first one, I expect the column bracket snapped - and because the area's run-down the council didn't want to put up a new column, so they've taped the bracket remainder to the column!

That area looks so run down and derelict I'd be surprised if most of those lanterns actually work anyway. If I was in charge I wouldn't be wasting money on new lamps and lanterns/columns for areas that have nobody actually living there!

Oh dear! It looks like the column has been driven into at some point, meaning the bracket and lantern snapped off. That looks to be a telegraph pole bracket strapped onto a normal metal column with a Beta 2!

There's also this not too far away

EDIT: I swear the whole of Glasgow is just Beta 2s on metal columns :?

Again, it's a derelict area, it's probably going to be redeveloped soon so why bother repairing any broken lighting?

Very flimsy-looking metal columns at that! They look like signpost columns! :?

I agree, it seems pointless and it also seems many of the lamps are clean!

I also found this in a non-derelict area of the estate. The bracket is going to give way any minute! In a street like this, you would've thought that the council would have done something better than that rather than just tape the lantern up. Even removing the bracket and fitting a second hand post-top lantern would be a huge improvement!

Also, these interesting replacements.

Never mind the replacements, the original columns are far more interesting... ;)

Oops, that's what I meant. At least the grammar was there.

Here's an Eleco GR200/152 on quite a short column, up for replacement.
