It is just like buses, none for ages then Alpha 6s are all over the place.

Brand new and with SLI lamp - Looks like my new one aquired a few years back was a bargain.

Oh my good gawd, here's another one!

This brand new 140w Thorn Alpha Six comes with a new SLI bulb, and bidding starts at £80 before £19 postage.

There are no bids so far.

If you can collect it from Morley, West Yorkshire, the seller will also throw in a 90w SOX / 140w SLI leak transformer!

I don't think it is as my feedback for the Z9464 is not in the seller's history.

If anyone on here should bid on it, I will offer my services and pick it up.

That's very generous. :)

I'm considering it, but want to see how bidding goes... as £80 is something I can just about justify for something so rare. However, if anyone else on here wants to bid then go ahead.

I wonder if it has a bowl with it?

Only cos I get to take the lantern home and possibly have a sneak peek at it. ;) Also winning bidder will get the ballast too if I collect it - read the description.

I know the identity of the collector who bought the wallet busting Alpha 6 from Classic Lamps. All I am going to say is that it isn't someone on here and it now resides north of the border.

A certain J Thompson perhaps? ;)

Yeah, plus if it went to somebody fairly local to you then you'd also see it fired up as well! ;)
