A couple of Urbis/Schreder products are of British design. The Evolo and Axia have both been designed by Hyphen Design. I'd say these two products are some of the better products available on the market.

If I had to name one name when it came to excellent street lighting design, it would be Richard Stevens.
From looking at records on VADS, he is credited with designing the likes of the Alpha 1, Beta 3, Gamma 4, Gamma 5 and Gamma 7. Given the design lineage, we could therefore credit Richard with the Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Alpha 3, Beta 2 (original fluorescent type), Beta 3, Gamma 3, Gamma 4 and Gamma 5. There are some well loved designs in that list.

I was fortunate enough to meet the CEO of Hyphen Design in order to receive my Evolo 1 in collection. I agree with Steve that the two Urbis lantern ranges that they've produced are good quality designs.
