Post subject:  Old festive figures from Calderdale

Part of this is to do with that Calderdale is getting new festive lighting as the onnes used last year have been retired and the council wonders what to do with them. Othe other reason is taht i dont want to derail the current Yorkshire thread off topic too much.

Brighouse will be receiving new figures meaning that the King Street bent candle, Park Street mainly yellow lite tree and the Bradford Road smashed snowflake are all being replaced with LED rope light figures instead. Halifax, Elland, Todmorden and the rest of the towns and villages wil be upgraded to a low watt lighting kit.

Calderdale Council is wanting to get shut of the old ones and im wondering if anyone on here would like to get a few of these to add to their current lantern collection (it'd come handy if we can get a signpost with it too).

The councils contact details are: Highways Manager, Engineering Services, Northgate House, Northgate, Halifax HX1 1UN
email: engineeringservicesATcalderdale.gov.uk or call them 0845 245 7000.

UPDATE: Im currently waiting for another reply from the council explaining where i go to collect them.
