Although as I type this the poll hasn't yet ended, I think the winner is fairly clear now anyway. Claire's picture of the Gas Lamp is going into the winners' gallery and onto the homepage. |

Post subject: | Thank you |
Thank you Chris, thank you, thank you all… (waits for applause to die down), Ahem, I am truly honoured to be here to night, and to stand before you to receive this prestigious award (holds up the engraved glass replica of a plastic bowl). It’s been a long road getting here... (pauses for laughter, but there is none), err, the trials and tribulations, the up and the downs, the diversion south of York, and the roadworks on the M1; but my friends, it’s all been worth it. So to those who voted for me, …including myself, I again thank you. I would also like to thank my family, my friends, and the good people of Millington Road in Cambridge for supporting me. Also, I would like to say a big thank you to the gas lamppost (No2), without whom all this would not have been possible, my thanks to the Police for being so understanding at the Police station on that afternoon, and also to the hire company for the snow making machine…I love you all; thank you and goodnight. |
